Using the beta
Neat is a note-taking app currently offered through beta testing. Features, availability and limits can change, and the beta may contain errors or interruptions. Keep independent backups of important notes.
Apple’s applicable TestFlight and platform terms also apply when you install the app through Apple.
Your account
Keep your sign-in credentials secure and use an account you are entitled to access. AI features require authentication and available usage allowances. Do not share credentials to evade access limits or interfere with other users’ accounts.
Your notes and content
You retain your rights in the content you bring to Neat. When you request an AI operation or submit a support message, you authorize the processing needed to provide that operation, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Only submit content you have permission to use and share. Do not use Neat for unlawful activity, infringement, abuse or attempts to bypass service safeguards. Export and back up anything you want to keep.
AI output needs review
AI can produce incorrect, incomplete or misleading text and diagrams. Review generated material against your sources. Neat does not guarantee factual accuracy, uniqueness or that output is suitable for a particular assignment or purpose.
Use your own judgment and follow your school or organization’s rules about AI. Neat is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or financial advice.
Plans and payments
The current beta does not take subscription payments. Displayed Lite and Pro prices describe the intended monthly plans; they do not begin a charge. Any temporary beta access remains subject to availability and server allowances.
If paid subscriptions are introduced, the purchase flow will show the actual price, billing period and applicable terms before you confirm. Existing beta activation is not an automatic paid subscription.
Each generated output page uses a page allowance; AI edits have a separate allowance. Local writing, manual annotations and exports do not become paid AI requests.
Availability and support
The app depends on device storage, network access and external services for some features. Requests may fail, services may be unavailable and beta features may change. Local notebooks do not currently sync to the cloud.
Contact Support with problems or account requests. Nothing in these terms is intended to remove rights that applicable consumer law does not allow to be excluded.
Changes to these terms
Updates will be published on this page with a revised date. New features such as paid billing or cloud sync may require additional terms presented when those features become available.
